Electric water heaters use heating elements to heat the water in the tank. Heat pump water heaters use electricity to move heat instead of using electricity to generate heat, making them much more efficient than traditional electric water heaters. Rebates must be applied for within 90 days of installation to qualify.
Electric Resistance Water Heaters

- $70/unit for units replacing natural gas or propane water heaters or if a member signs up for Time-of Use rate

Electric Heat Pump Water Heaters
- $740/unit

- 30-gallon minimum size requirement
- Heat pump units must be ENERGY STAR® rated
