You can save money while conserving energy by switching to ENERGY STAR® appliances in your home and office. ENERGY STAR® qualified appliances incorporate advanced technologies that typically use 10 to 15% less energy and water than standard models.

Requirements
- All rebates must be requested within 90 days of installation.
- All items must be installed and operated in GCEA service territory.
- Please submit:
- Proof of purchase through receipt and/or invoice
- Energy Guide label showing ENERGY STAR® certification for appliances.
*Unless otherwise noted, rebates will not exceed 100% of equipment cost.
Rebate Amounts
Incentive:
- $60 per recycle
Requirement:
- Limit of two full-size refrigerators or freezer recycle incentives per member per year. Refrigerators are considered full-size at 7.75 cubic feet or greater
- Recycling may be provided by the company that delivers the appliance. Typically, a "Haul Away" fee is listed separately on the receipt and provides proof of recycling.
- Appliances may also be delivered to the Gunnison Valley Dump or another disposal center, and a receipt from one of these centers also normally provides proof of recycling.
Incentive:
- Energy Star Electric Clothes Dryers:
- $30/unit
- Energy Star Hybrid Heat Pump Clothes Dryers:
- $90/unit
Incentive:
- $100 per unit for electric-to-induction replacements
- $350 for gas to induction replacements or new construction (or up to 100% of purchase price before taxes & shipping)
Requirements:
- Induction cooktops/range measuring 30” or larger
- Replacement of gas units with induction requires verification of old gas cooktop/range. Photographs of the old unit are sufficient.
- Itemized receipt for induction cooktop/range purchase
- Does not have to be ENERGY STAR® at this time
