Electrical Safety Demonstration

Gunnison County Electric Association strongly believes that electrical safety is everyone's business. GCEA has developed electric safety programs suitable for all residents in our community. Programs are available for children in our schools, local civic groups, EMS, fire and law enforcement. These programs are free of charge, and all are encouraged to take advantage.

Call Gunnison County Electric Association at 970-641-3520 to schedule your electrical safety presentation. Together, we can all learn to live safe with electricity.

Teaching Students About Electricity

There's an app for that! From nuclear power plants to solar powered homes, the Trustworthy Cyber Infrastructure for the Power Grid's FREE APP, Tesla Town, allows young students to explore and learn about different energy sources used for electricity production today.

Telsa Town is aimed at teaching students in third through eighth grade about electricity generation and delivery.

Tesla Town is available to download for free from the iTunes App Store, Google Play app store  and is also also available on the web.

High Voltage Demonstration Trailer

GCEA has a high voltage demonstration trailer that can be used as an educational tool to show just how dangerous it may be to come into contact with high voltage wires. If your classroom or community group would like to see a live exhibition that will teach safety while making a lasting impression, call GCEA at 970-641-3520 to schedule a FREE demonstration.
