GCEA’s 2024 Annual Meeting is just around the corner, which means it’s voting time again. As part of your rural electric cooperative, you have a voice in who represents the GCEA membership in the boardroom.
This year there is a contested election for District 7, and ALL GCEA members are encouraged to vote. District 6 is an uncontested seat. Every member is allowed to vote once, no matter the district they reside in, for one candidate in each district. Please click on the button below to learn about the candidates.
It is important to note that members may only vote once and there is only one vote per membership. If you try to vote electronically and by mail, you’ll cancel both votes.
Detailed instructions are included on your ballot and below is an election timeline.
- May 20 – Election opens – ballots mailed with voting instructions, including credentials for online voting
- May 20 – Electronic voting via the SmartHub application is scheduled to open at 8 am MT
- May 30 – Meet the Candidates event from 5:00 – 7:00 pm at GCEA Headquarters
- June 16 – Electronic election site closes at 11:59 pm MT
- June 18 – Deadline for mailed ballots to be received. Please allow sufficient time for delivery to the following address: Survey & Ballot Systems, 7653 Anagram Dr, Eden Prairie, MN 55344
- June 18 – In-person voting at GCEA headquarters from 5-6 pm. The annual meeting will be held at GCEA headquarters at 37250 Hwy 50 in Gunnison.
- June 20 – Announcement of election results

- App: Open your Smarthub app, login and click the Vote Now button.
- Online: Login to your SmartHub online account and click the Vote Now button.
- Voting begins May 20, 2024 and ends at 11:59 PM Mountain Time, June 16, 2024.
- Do not mail your ballot if you plan to vote via SmartHub.
To Access Your SmartHub App
Members with smartphone or tablet devices can download the SmartHub app from the iTunes App Store or from the Google Play Android Market. After installation of SmartHub, search for Gunnison County Electric Association. To register, you will need your account number and the name on your account exactly as printed on your bill statement.

- Your Member Number and your Election Passcode will be provided in your mailed ballot. Use both of these numbers to login.
- Once registered, follow the online voting instructions.
- Online voting begins May 20, 2024 and ends at 11:59 PM Mountain Time, June 16, 2024.
- Do not mail your ballot if you plan to vote online.

- Mark your selections by completely filling in the circle next to your choice.
- Do not drop off or mail to GCEA offices.

- Envelopes must be received no later than June 18, 2024. Please allow sufficient time for delivery.
