Commercial LED Lighting Rebates

Gunnison County Electric Association, Inc. and Tri-State Generation and Transmission, Inc. offer a LED commercial lighting program to provide an incentive for local cooperative businesses to retrofit existing lighting systems with energy efficient LED systems, for new construction LED lighting, exterior wall mounted LED lighting, exterior pole mounted LED lighting, refrigerated case LED lighting, and interior LED lighting. 

 

Commercial LED Lighting Rebate Amounts:

  • Pre-set amount by fixture type up to a maximum of 50% of the total LED fixture cost per project/account (whichever amount is less) and capped at $20,000 per project/account for LED replacements including:
    • wraps ($10/fixture)
    • troffers ($10 for 1x4 and 2x2, $17 for 2x4)
    • can lights ($14/fixture for 6" or smaller, $51/fixture for 8" or larger commercial lights)
    • low bay ($45/fixture for 8k to 10k lumens)
    • high bay ($70/fixture for greater than 10k lumens)
    • wallpack or sconce lights ($20/fixture for 1k to 2k lumens, $60/fixture over 2k lumens)
    • bollard lights ($20/fixture)
    • canopy lights ($56/fixture)
  • Pole Mounted Lighting Cap of $20,000 or 25% of total LED head cost per project/account (whichever amount is less), minimum 2,100 lumens per head.
  • Refrigerated Case Lighting cap of $3,000 or 50% of total LED fixture cost per project/account (whichever amount is less).
  • All other retrofit or new construction fixture types (any type of fixture not listed above) have a combined cap of $20,000 or 50% of total LED fixture cost per project/account (whichever amount is less). Pre-approval of the LED fixture is required, and amount of rebate is determined by Tri-State Generation and Transmission, Inc.

 
Eligibility:

  • Businesses must be located within GCEA's service area and have a commercial account with GCEA to qualify for the incentive.
  • Rebates only apply to permanent installations purchased by the co-op business.
  • Invoice or receipt and spec sheets for project materials listing costs required.
  • One project per member-owner account per year.
